Taj Mahal


Taj Mahal is not just beautiful art and fine architecture, but a memorial to love and faith. Taj Mahal was build by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is the combination of Indian and Persian architecture. It is a sublime experience of the greatest love story ever told and has been a visual delight for viewers over the ages. Open Saturday to Thursday (Friday closed)


Agra Fort


Within a radius of 3 km, on the banks of river Yamuna rises the crescent like Agra Fort. Designed and built by Akbar In 1565 A. D., the fort is surrounded by a 70 foot high wall. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangirl Mahal, Diwan-e-Khas, Diwan-e-Aam, Machill Bhawan and Mot Masjid.


Itmad Ud Daulah


The exquisite tomb of ltmad-ud-Daulah on the left bank ofYamuna River was built 1 J by NurJahan in memory of her father. This small but elegant structure is built entirely in white marble, a feature that appeared for the first time and was an inspiration for Taj Mahal. The pietra dura or stone inlay work is of highest quality, especially in the blend of the colours of the semi-precious stones.


Fatehpur Sikri


30 km. southwest of Agra lies a deserted sand-stone city, Fatehpur Sikri, the royal capital of Akbar the Great. It was built during 1571 & 1585. It is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height. Fatehpur Sikri is a concrete expression of the towering personality, the ambition and the exquisite taste of the great king.


Sikandra


12 Km. Begun by Emperor Akbar and completed by his sonJahangir in 1613 A.O., Akbar's tomb in Sikandra is a fusion of Hindu and Muslim art and architecture which, like the Emperor himself, characterized the era.


Shri Krishna Janmbhumi (Mathura)


is a religious temple located in the crowded city of Mathura. 1f This temple is the birthplace of ancient Hindugod Loa rd Krishna. It is prison cell belonging to Kamsa where Lord Krishna was born. Sri Krishna Janmbhoomi Temple is the most sought after devout centers in Mathura. It predominance over the other holy sports are due to the belief that the temple stands on the same place where lord Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudev. Numerous articles excavated from the site bare testimony to the legendary story of Sri Krishna's birth.


Prem Mandir (Vrindavan)


is a religious and spiritual complex situated on a 54-acre sit on the outskirts of Vrindavan, Mathura, India it is dedicated to Shri Krishna. The temple structure was established by fifth Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. The Foundation stone of Prem Mandir was laid on January 2001 by Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and the inauguration ceremony took place from 15 February to 17 February 2012. The temple was opened to public on 17 February. The cost was 150 crore rupees ($23 million). The presiding deity are Shri Radha Govind (Radha Kishna) and Shri Sita Ram. A 73,000 squre feet, pillar-less, dome shaped satsang hall is being constructed next to Prem Mandir, will accommodate 25,000 people at a time.


Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary


One of the finest bird parks in the world, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park is a reserve that offers protection to faunal species as well. Keoladeo, the name derives from an ancient Hindu temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, which stands at the centre of the park. 'Ghana' means dense, referring to the thick forest, which used to cover the area. Nesting indigenous water-birds as well as migratory water birds and waterside birds, this sanctuary is also inhabited by Sambar, Chital, Nilgai and Boar.
